“New indicators for monitoring photosmog”

Croatian researchers developed new indicators that can be used to analyse photochemical pollution and smog caused by ozone and make comparisons between sites

“Ozone pollution index and National air quality standards”

2007-2010  (OZONE and PHOTOOXIDANTS) Slanina who moved as professor to Peking University was together with Tang's coworkers professors Zhang and Hu on the projects. Slanina suddenly dyed during this project before visiting Croatia

„Secondary organic aerosol and photochemical pollution“

2013-2015 (AEROSOLS and PARTICULATES) is still underway

The Ministeries for Science of PR China and Croatia sponsored these Projects.

Our research on these projects show a move from ozone's role as a lead pollutant towards  ozone being the precursor of a hazardous pollution

 Photochemical pollution indices for Pearl River Delta (PRD) sites around Guangzhou. Sites: one wide left and two far right are rural, those on the coast are maritime, rest are suburban

The city strongly influences the surrouding but the coastal region has low PPIs due to wind circulation.

 Photochemical pollution indices for Italy, Slovenia and Croatia during summers 2002-2004  PPI show transport from lower Po-valey into coastal Adriatic regions SOA Bibliometric analysis in Pure Appl Chem 2014 .

Altough introduced early and discussed only once later, research actually started only after the papers on Lagrangian trajectories and Elemental carbon tracer (EC) determinations appeared that allowed discrimination of  POA and SOA and again recently when Aerosol Mass Spectrometry (AMS) showed presence of  >10 K of compounds/run. Now: paper/day
